Questions and comments are always welcome; every perspective on the text is helpful. However, the effort to understand the text should take priority, so that one is not merely looking for confirmation of one&#8217;s prior assumptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wherever possible, the systematic presuppositions that Hegel makes in the text should be made explicit and explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim is to cover three &#8220;tenors&#8221; per session. Hegel&#8217;s text is typically divided into the &#8220;tenor&#8221; \u2013 in short form, what the passage is about \u2013 the &#8220;remark,&#8221; in which Hegel explains the tenor, and then, where applicable, the &#8220;additions&#8221; compiled by Eduard Gans, as well as, in part, the handwritten &#8220;notes&#8221; (from Hegel&#8217;s own lecture copy of the text).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meeting, we therefore read only the tenor as &#8220;required material.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the text basis and \u2013 for anyone interested \u2013 secondary literature: <a href=\"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/en\/bibliography\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We start and end relatively punctually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/en\/faqs\/\">FAQs<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We read (almost) every Sunday together through the &#8220;Elements of the Philosophy of Right.&#8221; Everyone may take a turn reading, but no one has to.
