In brief:<\/strong> Astonishingly few. There is exactly one serious Hegel FAQ on the web, it is in English, half of it is empty and it has not been continued for years. The rest are school materials and search-engine filler. The survey that follows comes from a search made in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one that counts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

hegel.net\/en\/faq.htm<\/a> \u2013 thirty questions in seven rubrics, run by Kai Froeb (Munich), the questions originally by Paul Trejo, the answers by Maurizio Canfora, Trejo and Froeb. The basis in substance is recognisably the collection The Hegel Myths and Legends<\/em> (ed. Jon Stewart, 1996).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heart of it is the rubric Politics<\/em> with eleven questions: totalitarianism, Prussian state servant, nationalism, National Socialism, the glorification of war, the state as God, \u201eReality is Rational\u201c, lord and bondsman, Africa, Eurocentrism, patriarchy. Besides that Theory<\/em> (seven), Methodology<\/em> (four) and History<\/em> (five). The rubrics on the logic, the philosophy of nature and the philosophy of spirit are entirely empty \u2013 \u201ecoming soon\u201c, for years now. Anyone who reads English will find there the best short version of the refutation of Popper on the web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else there is<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The Hegel societies have no FAQ.<\/strong> Neither the Hegel Society of America nor the Hegel Society of Great Britain, neither the Internationale Hegel-Vereinigung nor the Internationale Hegel-Gesellschaft nor the Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Estudios sobre Hegel. They are association pages with announcements of conferences.
\u2013 Italian<\/strong> is the only living FAQ tradition, though at school level: atuttascuola.it<\/em> (sixteen questions with answers) and ripassofacile<\/em> (fifty-three questions without answers \u2013 but with the best systematic arrangement we came across, including questions on the reception by Popper and Bobbio).
\u2013 At university level<\/strong> the best in its cut: the question lists of Mark Tunick (Florida Atlantic University), directly on the Philosophy of Right<\/em> \u2013 seven questions on the Preface and Introduction, twenty-one on \u00a7 34<\/a>\u2013\u00a7 104<\/a>, with real case examples. Older, but first-rate in substance.
\u2013 The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy<\/strong> has no FAQ, but marks out the frame of what is legitimate: the metaphysical, the post-Kantian and the revised metaphysical reading.
\u2013 Search-engine filler<\/strong> without value: SparkNotes (three questions), GradeSaver (three), Britannica \u201eTop Questions\u201c (two).
\u2013 1000-Word Philosophy<\/strong> and Wireless Philosophy<\/strong> have nothing at all on Hegel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gap we could not close<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reddit, Philosophy Stack Exchange and Quora were technically unreachable during the search. There \u2013 above all in r\/askphilosophy \u2013 is likely to lie the largest body of Hegel questions and answers that actually exists. We prefer to say so rather than pass over it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And where do these FAQs stand?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After this survey, the questions on this site are the most extensive Hegel FAQ in German and probably the most extensive anywhere. That is not a merit but an observation about an astonishingly empty field. The three rubrics that have stood empty at hegel.net for years \u2013 logic, nature, spirit \u2013 are filled here, and the legal questions, which occur nowhere else at all, are the focus here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
