{"id":4361,"date":"2024-06-01T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-01T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/?p=4361"},"modified":"2026-08-24T10:29:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T08:29:49","slug":"24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/en\/24\/","title":{"rendered":"24"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is <em>universal<\/em> because all limitation and particular singularity are sublated within it \u2013 limitation and singularity which consist solely in the difference between the concept and its object or content, or, in another form, in the difference between its subjective being-for-itself and its being-in-itself, between its <em>exclusive<\/em> and resolving singularity, and its universality itself.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The various determinations of <em>universality<\/em> emerge in the Logic (see <em>Encyclopedia of the Philosophical Sciences<\/em>, \u00a7\u00a7 118\u2013126). At this expression, representational thought first hits upon the abstract and external kind; but with the universality that is in and for itself, as it has been determined here, one must think neither of the universality of reflection \u2013 <em>commonality<\/em> or <em>allness<\/em> \u2013 nor of the <em>abstract<\/em> universality that stands over against the individual on the other side, the abstract identity of the understanding (<a href=\"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/en\/6\/\">\u00a7 6<\/a>, Remark). It is the universality that is <em>concrete<\/em> within itself and thus is <em>for itself<\/em>, which is the substance, the immanent genus or immanent Idea of self-consciousness \u2013 the concept of the free will as the universal that <em>encompasses<\/em> its object, that <em>runs through its own determination<\/em>, and that in this determination is identical with itself. \u2013 The universal that is in and for itself is, in general, what is called <em>the rational<\/em>, and what can be grasped only in this speculative way.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is universal because all limitation and particular singularity are sublated within it \u2013 limitation and singularity which consist solely in the difference between the concept and its object or content, or, in another form, in the difference between its subjective being-for-itself and its being-in-itself, between its exclusive and resolving singularity, and its universality itself.
