{"id":4799,"date":"2021-12-01T10:24:20","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T09:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/?p=4799"},"modified":"2026-08-22T21:52:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T19:52:11","slug":"93","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grundlinien.de\/en\/93\/","title":{"rendered":"93"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coercion has, <em>of this<\/em> \u2014 that it destroys itself in its own concept \u2014 the real display in this: <em>that coercion is superseded by coercion<\/em>; it is, therefore, not merely conditionally rightful but necessary \u2014 namely, as a <em>second<\/em> coercion, which is the superseding of a first coercion.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The violation of a contract through non-performance of what was stipulated, or of legal duties toward the family or the state, through act or omission, is, to that extent, a first coercion, or at least violence, insofar as I withhold or deprive another of a property that is his, or of a performance owed to him. \u2014 Pedagogical coercion, or coercion exercised against wildness and crudeness, appears indeed as a first coercion, not following upon an antecedent first coercion. But the merely natural will is <em>in itself<\/em> violence against the in-itself existing Idea of freedom, which must be taken under protection against such an uncultivated will and brought to validity within it.
