The arbitrary moment, in abstract property, of the particular need of the merely single individual, and the self-seeking of desire, is here transformed into care and acquisition for something <em>held in common<\/em> &mdash; into something <em>ethical<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The introduction of settled property appears, in the legends of the founding of states, or at least of a social, civilized life, in connection with the introduction of marriage.
