§ 154: The right to what is one’s own
Ethical life does not swallow up the individual. He keeps his right to his particularity: to his wishes, his interests, his own path.
Why?
Because the ethical lives only in particular people. In this mother, this carpenter, this judge. Without their own ways, the order would have no real life.
Summary: In ethical life too, the individual has a right to what is his own. For the ethical order lives only in particular people.
