§ 202: Three estates
There are three estates.
First, the estate that lives from nature: the farmers.
Second, the estate that works up the material of nature and trades with it: craftsmen, manufacturers, merchants.
Third, the estate that works for the universal: the civil servants.
Summary: There is the estate of the farmers, the estate of trade and the universal estate of the civil servants.
